In American society we suppress our natural instincts, oftentimes without knowing we are doing it. Men learn early on that most women want a comfortable home, so since we like women we do what we can to make one. Much of the good-paying work our society offers is in an office. In order to tolerate that environment we suppress our desire to be outside and free. Many of us learn to live for the times when we can temporarily escape. Yet even when we are out there, in the back of our mind we know we must return to our cage.
