While the US press doesn’t print much news about Latin America, our country figures more prominently in their media. Hyper-violent Hollywood movies are played for all ages on the big screen and on long distance buses. With its wars of aggression, college campus shootings, and police killings of innocent black teenagers, the US must appear to the rest of the world as an extremely violent (and racist and dangerous) country.
